More Fun Baby Rhymes and Bounces

More Fun Baby Rhymes and Bounces
Here are more favorite baby rhymes and bounces I used with my baby programs @ the public library!

Popcorn Bounce Rhyme
(bounce baby on knees)
Popcorn, popcorn,
Sizzling in the pan.
Shake it up, shake it up,
Bam, bam, bam!

Popcorn, popcorn,
Now it’s getting hot,
Shake it up, shake it up,
Pop, pop, pop! (lift baby up with each” pop”)

Lap Ride: “This is the Way the Baby Rides” (Tune )The Mulberry Bush

This is the way the baby rides, Baby rides, baby rides.

This is the way the baby rides,

Bouncy, Bouncy, Bouncy.

(bounce baby slowly on one knee)

This is the way the jockey rides,

Jockey rides, jockey rides.

This is the way the jockey rides,

Gallopy, gallopy, gallopy.

(use both knees and move them up and down)

Itsy Bitsy Spider

(Bounce along or shake rattles to the rhythm)

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Went up the water spout

Down came the rain and washed the spider out

Out came the sun and dried up all the rain

And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again

“With Our Hands”

(tune -Mary had a little lamb)

With our hands we clap, clap, clap

Clap, clap, clap

Clap, clap, clap

With our hands we clap, clap, clap

We have lots of fun!

We are feet we tap, tap, tap

Tap, tap, tap

Tap, tap, tap

With our feet we tap, tap, tap

We have lots of fun!

“Gitty –Up ( Lap Ride)”

Gitty--up, gitty--up, gitty--up

Up—up!

Gitty--up, gitty--up, gitty--up

Up—up!

Gitty--up, gitty--up, gitty--up

Up—up!

Whoooa---Horsey (Raise Arms in the air)

This is theWay We Shake our Rattles

(Tune: Here go around the Mulberry Bush)

This is the way we shake our rattles, shake our

rattles, shake our rattles.

This is the way we shake our rattles, so early in

the morning.

Additional verses:

This is the way we shake our arms...

This is the way we shake our feet..

This is the way we reach for the sky..

Tick -Tock

Holding baby in your lap rock back and forth during rhyme—on cuckoo part lift baby in the air

Tick- Tock, tick-tock,

I’m a little cuckoo clock.

Tick- Tock, tick-tock,

Now it’s almost ten o’clock

Cuckoo! Cuckoo! Cuckoo!(on cuckoo part lift baby in the air)

Song: Baa Baa Black Sheep

(use laminated sheep cut outs if available)
Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
Three bags full.

One for the master,
One for the dame,
And one for the little boy
Who lives down the lane.

Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
