TALK: Intro: Welcome to Storytime this morning friends! My name is Ms. Stephanie and I am so happy you are here! Are you ready to sing our welcome song together? You will need to find your hands and your feet and have space around you to move them.

Before starting to read in during the storytime I would introduce the letter B for bedtime I would talk about things that start with the letter B that relate to bedtime first such as bed, brush, and then ask about other items that start with the letter B like bat, box, bubbles. Share the letter B sound and have the families practice along with you.
Also show 1st book cover and ask questions about character on the front of the book to introduce bedtime. Talk about what sort of things do we do to get ready for bedtime- i.e. bath, get pj’s on, brush our teeth, wash our face etc. Examples:
• What is the animal is on the cover?
• What does his eyes show us about how he feels? Are the sheep’s eyes open or closed?

Ten in the Bed Song
There were 10 in the bed and the little one said,

PLAY: Use a felt board or fingers for
counting and singing
Do simple concept of math like counting 1-10 and show 1 & 5 and 10 on fingers with the whole group and then repeat using a simple song – counting on fingers while singing the star song below with the group.
