Family Theme

FAMILY THEME

  TALK:
Share pictures from your family with your child. Your immediate family- mom, dad, kid(s), grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew etc. Share how you are all connected whether that be through birth or love in your heart by adoption. Talk  about things your family like to do together. Even plan a family outing together a trip to the park, family fun day, a picnic, or even a family camping trip.

Song: If You Have a Brother... This is a song that I made up which follows the concept of If You're Wearing Red Today. Credit Abby The Librarian

(Tune: Mary Had a Little Lamb)
If you have a brother
A brother, a brother
If you have a brother
Please stand up!

And I repeat with different family members. Today we also did: sister, mommy, daddy, cousin... and then I asked the kids what other family members we could include. The first suggestion was "dog"! We also did cat (just me!), grandpa, and grandma.
