Bugs Theme

THEME: BUGS

TALK:
Show examples of bugs (laminated on a stick or use feltboard bugs)- you can count them? Ask what they are? Let them know to look for these in the stories we are going to share today all about BUGS!

Please note this lesson includes books that have all different bugs in them. I am planning or have published separate blog posts on specific bugs- ladybugs, caterpillars and butterflies (posted), spiders, fireflies or lighting bugs etc.

They can use the headband (long strip or short pieces attached  with either  glue or tape them together if needed)
Then glue eye cutouts on strip.

Tape pipe cleaners made into antennae (they can curl around their finger or a crayon or marker)
They can staple together once they fit the band around their child’s head.

Fly Swatter Painting-- do in an open area and be prepared for a bit of a mess-- My suggestion outside on the grass where you can later rinse away the splattered paint.
