The Pumpkins Are Here - sung to "The Farmer in the Dell"
The pumpkins are here, the pumpkins are there.
The pumpkins, the pumpkins are everywhere.

The pumpkins are up, the pumpkins are down.
The pumpkins, the pumpkins are all around.

The pumpkins are in, the pumpkins are out.
The pumpkins, the pumpkins are all about.

The pumpkins are low, the pumpkins are high.
The pumpkins, the pumpkins all say good-bye!

Pumpkin song - sung to "I'm a Little Teapot"
I'm a little pumpkin Orange and round.
Here is my stem,
There is the ground.
When I get all cut up,
Don't you shout!
Just open me up
And scoop me out!

I'm a Little Pumpkin
~ adapted by KidsSoup
(Tune: I'm a Little Teapot)
I'm a little pumpkin,
orange and round.
I grow on a vine
from a seed in the ground.
When I get all grown up,
give me a face.
Put me outside,
in a very safe place.

Have You Ever Seen a Pumpkin

tune of "Have You Ever Seen a Lassie"

Have you ever seen a pumpkin, a pumpkin, a pumpkin,
Have you ever seen a pumpkin, that grows on a vine?
A round one, a tall one, a fat one, a small one.
Have you ever seen a pumpkin, that grows on a vine?

CRAFT: Pumpkin 5 senses worksheet & Pumpkin coloring sheet for the tables

They kids can pick a pumpkin  to use for the 5 senses activity sheet (i used the small gourd type pumpkins)
Also, use a separate  pie pumpkin with top cut off to use for what does it feel inside like on the top. for follow the mess free pumpkin gut link above to create baggies with pumpkin guts.

The taste option on the handout I skipped- But you could talk about things made from pumpkin- bread, pie, cookies etc. You could also let them taste something made with pumpkin.
